4 stars – I thoroughly enjoyed this book
By Kyliemitchell on September 27, 2014
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Characters that I cared about, a complex and multi-layered plot, some completely unexpected developments along the way. I hope it’s the first of a series, I’d love to know what’s next for John Lawrence (and Billy…) If you enjoy a good crime story with a flawed and believable protagonist, lots of interesting minor characters, and chock full of inner Western Sydney landmarks, do yourself a favour and add this to your kindle (or bookshelf) now! – amazon.com
4 Stars – I loved the character development
By Liz Mulder on October 1, 2014
I read this book in record time. I loved the character development, the humour, as well as the unexpected. Inner Western Sydney is perfectly evoked, I found myself in many familiar places. I too hope that this is number one of a series, having just plunged into John and Billy’s life, I want to continue reading about them. I thoroughly recommend this book if you like a page turner that is extremely well written, well researched and funny. – amazon.com

Five Stars – A terrific read
By Bruce Shayler on 17 Oct 2014
From the very first chapter the reader is in no doubt that there will be no putting this book down.
The fast paced plot takes you from a mysterious past in Paris and unfolds in Sydney. There is fast action as the innocent get caught up in the agenda of criminals balanced skilfully with humour.
I am sure there is more to come from this author and from some of these well drawn and believable characters. – amazon.co.uk
Four Stars – Compelling read
By Lula Dembele on 30 September 2014
It’s 11.30pm and I should be be getting some sleep as no doubt my 6 month old son will wake up several times for feeding throughout the night but I can’t put the book down. Enough said. Really enjoyed it. – amazon.com.au
Four Stars – Enjoyed getting to know the characters
By Wendy Stahel on 5 October 2014
A crime novel that doesn’t bludgeon you with complicated violence in the first breath.
Still found it a page turner ,but enjoyed getting to know the characters, and their surrounds – Sydney and Paris how could you go wrong! As a Sydney–sider loved loved the details of Sydney locales – my living breathing city- absent from most fiction! – amazon.com.au
